ABOUT
SURGE was born when vocalist Kät Jacksin stepped into a rehearsal studio to post a handwritten flyer reading, “Rock Singer Looking For Musicians.” The receptionist pointed her to a room down the hall, where guitarist Dan Martini and bassist Erikk Lee were cranking out jams and downing beers on a Saturday afternoon. After listening to the duo play a few songs from the hallway, Jacksin opened the door and asked “you guys need a singer?” One week later, drummer Guss Locke joined the fold, bringing the lineup to life.
From their very first rehearsal, it was clear that SURGE had tapped into something electric—a sound that’s unapologetically loud, proud, and rooted in the spirit of rock ‘n roll. Blending modern edge with classic hard rock swagger, the band’s “modern-classic” style has electrified audiences, delivering high-energy stage shows that keep fans on their feet and hungry for more.
2024 proved to be a landmark year for SURGE, featuring a standout performance at America’s Biggest Labor Day Party, Rocklahoma, supporting rock legends Lita Ford and Stephen Pearcy of Ratt at the iconic Whisky a Go-Go in Los Angeles, and releasing their third single, “Crazy Little Bitch,” along with a high-energy music video showcasing the band’s raw, in-your-face style.
Now signed to Chicago-based Pavement Entertainment, SURGE is putting the final touches on their full-length debut album, driven by a no-nonsense approach, undeniable chemistry, and a commitment to raw, authentic hard rock.
