ABOUT

SURGE was born in Uvalde, Texas, when vocalist Kät Jacksin and guitarist Dan Martini crossed paths with bassist Erikk Lee at a local recording studio. What began as conversations about music quickly turned into late-night jams, loud amplifiers, and the unmistakable feeling that something special was taking shape. Shortly thereafter, drummer Guss Locke joined the fold, bringing the lineup to life and helping forge the band’s signature sound.

From their very first rehearsal, it was clear that SURGE had tapped into something electric, a sound that’s unapologetically loud, proud, and rooted in the spirit of rock ‘n roll. Blending modern edge with classic hard rock swagger, the band’s “modern-classic” style has electrified audiences, delivering high-energy stage shows that keep fans on their feet and hungry for more.

2024 proved to be a landmark year for SURGE, featuring a standout performance at America’s Biggest Labor Day Party - Rocklahoma, supporting rock legends Lita Ford and Stephen Pearcy of Ratt at the iconic Whisky a Go-Go in Los Angeles, and releasing their third single, “Crazy Little Bitch,” along with a high-energy music video showcasing the band’s raw, in-your-face style.

The momentum continued into 2026 as SURGE completed their first United Kingdom tour, bringing their modern-classic brand of hard rock to audiences overseas and marking another major milestone in the band’s evolution.

As the band entered a new chapter in 2026, SURGE welcomed drummer Emmett Ahlschlager of Leakey, Texas, to the lineup, adding a new dynamic to the band while carrying forward the chemistry and fire that has defined SURGE from day one.
